What We've Done
Achievement Unlocked! The Antechamber of Ulduar
On Friday Kindred went back into Ulduar and made further progress! We downed the Assembly of Iron and unlocked the previously mentioned achievement. That means Kindred has finally progressed exactly half way (7 of 14 bosses) through Ulduar! Even better, we are at the point where we can probably repeat that in a single night.
Beyond that we've ventured into Freya's room and cleared all the mobs except the Freya herself. We also attempted Hodir once more but again were unsuccessful.
Also worth mentioning (as I forgot to when we did it), a few weeks back we finished the Northrend Beasts encounter in Trial of the Crusader.
Not too bad for a guild who's been having a tough time getting 10 people together on a regular basis.

Another achievement unlocked for Kindred: The Siege of Ulduar (10 player)
Congratulations are in order for Kindred tonight as we've officially cleared the first 4 bosses in Ulduar with 2 more bosses downed in the 2nd area! Previously we've only been able to down the 3 bosses Flame Leviathan, Razorscale (which is no sweat for us now I might add), and XT-002 Deconstructor. However tonight we were able to down Ignis the Furnace Master, Kologarn (which proved to be quite easy), and Auriaya as well.
In addition to tonight success, we found ourselves to be a bit more organized than we usually are. We would go in, wipe once but then down the second time. And successfully too! Which, as we all know, is not normal for Kindred. That is to say, until we made it to Stormcaller Brundir. That fight proved to be a little tough for us and in the end we ran out of time.
Still pumped we also made an attempt at the Trial of the Crusader in which we were able to get through Gormok the Impaler, Acidmaw & Dreadscale. Unfortunately we could not make it through Icehowl. But like all of Kindred's raids, there was lot of fun to be had and every minute of it was rather enjoyable.
Lastly, a special thanks goes out to Mirabee again for joining our little group of misfit raiders. She has helped us out twice now during a time of need when a lot of our guild remains out for the holidays. In addition to that, Venycia joined us and she too was a pleasure to have and we appreciated her help.

"Achievement Unlocked! Champion of the Frozen Wastes"
Last night Kindred headed into The Eye of Eternity to face Malygos. We had only been in there once before so we were relatively new to the encounter, but a quick look at the strategy and some determination we were able to take him down!
On the first try we wiped quickly due to lag unfortunately. However, after the lag went away we were able to make it past the first 2 phases quickly on all attempts. However, the 3rd phase was a bit tricky because navigating our drakes around Malygos and avoiding the obstacles proved to be tricky for some. After we discovered we could /follow someone, we gave the job to one person to keep us out of harms way. At that point, everyone else could concentrate on downing Malygos.
In the end, it took a handful of attempts, but when Vent is involved it's always a good time and we were able to take him down.
Finally, a special thanks to Mirabee for sticking with us through all the attempts. We had to PUG a 10th player as the holidays have left our online list a little barren. So we appreciated her help.
